The Job
This client wanted a garden room to use as an office, a music room for the children and an extra entertaining and relaxing space. They had a large south facing garden with a slope, so ensuring the room was cool enough was a priority in the summer months.
They chose Wi-FI controlled air conditioning to heat and cool the garden room as necessary ensuring the garden room is usable all year round. This allows you to pre-heat or pre-cool your garden room to the perfect temperature, before you get in there. They also chose 4 leaf bifold doors with the addition of internal blinds to minimise glare and heat from the sun. Internal blinds are a modern and stylish practical solution to traditional curtains and blinds that fit perfectly inside the double glazed unit meaning they won't get damaged or need cleaning, and are totally safe for children.
To minimise noise transmission, they opted for acoustic plasterboards to help sound proof the room. To the interior, we fitted recessed spot lights with a Wi-Fi controlled switch, so the lighting can be controlled anytime, no matter where you are using the smart app, or the manual switch in the garden room.
To the exterior, we clad the room in cedar to all four sides. The client chose to have composite decking in grey to compliment the garden room and provide a low maintenance, stylish entrance to the space.
